Accessibility

Last updated:

I want this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level, and I treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox.

What the site does

  • Semantic HTML structure and logical heading order.
  • Keyboard navigation with visible focus states.
  • Colour combinations chosen to meet AA contrast.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
  • Responsive layout that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom.
  • Respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting for animations.

Known limitations

Some content may not yet be fully accessible. For example, downloadable PDFs (such as the resume and publications) may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site. I’m working to improve these.
